COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Job Functions
1.Manage and lead the compliance program
2.Coordinate applicable policies and procedures, the firm’s code of conduct and employee training on ethics and compliance
3.Assure the compliance program effectively prevents and/or detects violations of laws, regulations, corporate policies or the corporate code of conduct
4.Communicate to all employees, agents and affiliated partners the corporate code of Conduct and compliance program’s expectations and responsibilities
5.Manage the compliance program’s auditing and monitoring activities
6.Engage in open communication with, and provide routine reports to, the compliance committee and board of directors
7.Work with corporate legal counsel, as appropriate, on issues concerning external regulatory agencies
8.Measure the compliance program’s effectiveness and recommend program improvements to the firm’s board of directors and/or compliance committee
Principal Duties
1.Coordinate compliance program implementation
2.Develop compliance program implementation and operation policies and procedures; update policies and procedures as necessary
3.Educate employees on the firm’s code of conduct, policies and procedures
4.Perform the duties and responsibilities assigned by the compliance committee and/or required by the compliance program
5.Work with the human resources department to develop appropriate background and reference checks
6.Establish a retribution-free system for employees to report suspected misconduct
7.Coordinate investigation of all noncompliance reports, tracking the status of all reports and investigations
8.Develop and implement corrective action plans resulting from noncompliance investigations
Characteristics and Skill Set
1.Excellent communication and listening skills
2.Self-confidence, with the courage of his or her convictions
3.Thorough understanding of the IT & Network business
4.Discretion with confidential and financial information
5.Trusted, respected and recognized as having high integrity
6.Experience and understanding of applicable IT & Network laws, fraud and abuse regulations
7.Perseverance in investigating alleged noncompliance
8.Ability to communicate bad news, even when conflicting with firm’s accepted practices
9.Auditing or Certified Professional Auditor and has lead a team for ISO certification experience is an advantage
